hey all -

so i hit my first snag today. i'm post op 16 days and have steadily lost weight since starting the pre-op diet on 2/20.

i got on the scale today for the first time in three days, and i have lost zero pounds.

is this normal? am i getting to worried already? it's making me feel like i'm doing something wrong.

i've been on soft foods since Monday - that's the only change. nothing weird, just following what's on the "ok" list, and honestly having a really hard time getting anywhere close to 1/2c of anything. drinking shakes a lot to get to my protein goals.

any feedback?

Mine just broke. It lasted 8 days. It'll be okay and is totally normal.

I was sleeved on 2/22. My stall started 2.5 weeks in.

I had my first stall starting on my first week post-op and lasting for 22 days. There's nothing you can do and it won't last forever. Your body needs a little catching up sometimes. Measure your body because you drop inches while in stalls. I've had 3 and dropped a size every time.

It is very hard in the beginning to not panic. I remember thinking the surgeon didn't do anything while he was in there. I felt great and had no problems.

The weight will come off. It takes time for our bodies to adjust.

Most people hit a stall between weeks 1 and 4. I was aware of it before surgery, and totally thought I was prepared. Then it happened to me and I was so frustrated! It will break and you'll start losing again, but it will most likely be in a stair step pattern with chunks of loss interspersed with stalls.

Hang in there!
