Did your spouse/SO/partner lose weight?

How has your surgery effected your spouse/partners weight? My husband was a totally average weight 10 weeks ago when I had surgery but he's lost 11lbs and although he's always been active he's now consciously working out too. It used to be my goal to weigh less than him, but he's making it harder!

My kids are both skinny (like their father!), so no change there. What about your families?

My husband is losing weight which is fantastic. He's lost about 40 lbs so far and I am really proud of him.

DH has lost 35 pounds and still going! I think it's just the conscious decisions at the grocery store and the moving around more for him. I know that now, he's not eating lunch out so much because I am usually planning for my next day, so his lunch gets packed, too!

My husband has lost about 40 lbs. He's wasn't MO, just overweight. Our family eating habits have changed a lot. No more fried food in our house.

My husband has a weird reaction similar to the way I've heard dumping described when he eats deep fried food, so he hasn't eaten it in years now anyway. If only I would have had that before surgery

Initially, my husband lost about 40 pounds. He has since put it all back on. He's diabetic and has issues with food, and now he's decided to have RNY in the hopes that it helps with his blood sugar.

I'm actually a little bit bummed that my husband's BMI has dropped below the 35 w/co-morbidities threshold! Keep us updated on how your husband does! :D

Sure thing. His BMI is 38 right now, at his highest weight. If not for the comorbidities, he wouldn't even consider it, but he's got issues with food and has watched me succeed. I'm excited for him to have surgery and get healthy.
