Painful to the touch

Hello! I am 4 weeks post op from the sleeve and am down 19lbs! I know that pain is inevitable considering it is a major surgery, however I have read that most people feel much better by week 4. My pain is sore to the touch. Not the actual scar but all inside is on fire. Constant stabbing sharp pains. My doctor said it's normal but somedays it is extremely bad, like today. When does the pain get better? Will it still be pretty sore by week 8? I have a trip planned and I don't want to be miserable.

I would check with my primary doctor if I wasn't getting a satisfactory answer.

I'm not a doctor, but that certainly does not sound normal to me. I agree with HFFM, I'd get a second opinion asap!

I don't think this is normal at all at 4 weeks out. Please see your surgeon!

Stabbing pain, sore to the touch and all inside is on fire does not sound normal...it does sound like possible infection...you need to have some tests done!.. go to a doctor who will listen to you. You are the expert on what your body feels.... get the or a doctor to listen.
