Powders that are 100 percent whey protein ISOLATE are lactose free. But you've have to mix them with something other than milk. The Syntrax Nectar line has things like coffee, tea, fuzzy navel, lemonade, and other fruit flavors that mix with water.

There are a couple of egg protein powders I used, but can't remember the names. There are a bunch of soy and other vegan powders, but I have no experience with them.

I wish my issue was just lactose intolerance but I have a true allergy, not anaphylactic thank goodness, but very inconvenient non the less. Thank you for the suggestions, I'll def look into them.

I used almond milk for my shakes after I found out I can't tolerate milk anymore.

I used Isopure Zero Carb...it's 100% whey protein isolate, and is gluten and lactose free as well.

I use MRM veggie elite taste better than most i have tried, Vega is ok and easy to find, Sunwarrior is nice (vanilla is good chocolate is not), pea protein isolate and on occasion hemp.

I use unflavored Unjury protein powder. It's much cheaper in the canisters then in the individual packets.

I mix it with unsweetened almond milk (25 calories in 8oz)

That brand is not good for true milk allergies because it is Whey (a milk derivative). I found out the hard way but I was in the hospital.

I also have a true milk allergy with anaphylaxis, most people assume that I am lactose intolerant. I have found that VEGAN protein powders are the best bet to be sure that there is no whey, casein, lactose ect. If you have a whole foods or a sprouts near you they usually sell some of the vegan powders in packets to figure out which one it is that you like.

Also there are a lot of collagen based protein powders that are GREAT and dairy free.

Good luck.
