Yes it is. Lots of people make lunch meat and cheese roll ups to get their protein. I personally wouldn't have it daily I think there are better choices, but in a pinch why not.

Any ideas of better choices? I can't come up with anything. Lol I'm getting tired of turkey cheese roll ups

I alternate between ham (I buy a quarter sliced boneless ham, much cheaper than deli meat), pepperoni slices, and turkey sausage sticks/bites for my lunches. I have them with Frigo Cheese Heads Swirls string cheese (mozzarella and cheddar swirled together...WalMart).

I like that it's easy to grab and go for lunch. My favorite is the Old Wisconsin turkey sausage bites.

Yes, I buy high quality deli meat and eat it at least a few times per week (pretty much any day I don't have left overs from dinner the night before).

Sure... look for lower sodium ones if you are eating it often. I like Boars Head, they have several lower sodium options (or Applegate Farms is another)

Yes (to answer your question), but lunch meat is off the menu for me... the cancer link is well-studied, and both my NUT and PCP tell me it's just a bad idea.

Eat it if you have to, but there are better choices.

I make my own chicken lettuce wraps (like the ones at PF Changs) using ground chicken. I also like meat balls -any kind of meat ball- chicken or turkey or ground beef... all taste great!

How about sliced rotisserie chicken, turkey, canned tuna, canned salmon or sardines, heck tofu is a good source of protein.

Bake a turkey breast, slice it up and freeze portions. Then take out your little sandwich bag of frozen turkey out of the freezer before work. It will defrost by lunch AND help keep the rest of your lunch cold.

Look into Japanese Bento box style meals. A little fish, a little salad... poof a pretty and tasty lunch! The U.S. isn't the only nation to take lunch to work, so look at what other cultures do.

It is better to travel and get lost...

Than never to travel at all.
