Saggy skin

I turned fifty yesterday. I had a great day. The weather has been so hot. I decided I don't care if people look at my saggy skin. It is too freaking hot to care.

Well I decided yesterday to get a new tattoo. I got it on my back.

I also am looking at the good parts of myself. I have beat myself up for a long time letting myself go and gaining weight.

I went out and bought shirts that have the racer back so I can show off my tattoo. I would never have done this a long time ago. I was so ashamed of my body.

Tonight was a kinda scary night. I had to be the speaker at my AA meeting. I was so nervous. I had so share my story on how my drinking came about.

At first I felt very odd doing it. But it is so similar to us coming here and helping each other.

I guess I could count this as a NSV. I used to be very shy.

I know I am rambling. But I feel very content tonight. Not over joyous but peaceful.

Wow, that looks wonderful! How long did you have to sit for? I don't even remember how long mine took, but it's not nearly as big or intricate as yours. I like the big, bold outlines on the flower and the elephant and the skin breaks as highlights on the elephant. Was it your design or did the artist come up with it on their on? I hope it heals well--an excuse to not wear a bra for a while!! :D

Thank you.

I sat for about two and a half hours. He stopped in between. I showed him a picture and he came up with his own design.

Lucky I have sports bras to that zip in the front. It hurt like a ***** But I love it.

You have made such amazing changes Susan and I'm glad you had a great birthday. The new tattoo is beautiful--I love elephants too. The first summer I was thin I would only wear 3/4 sleeves because of my bat wings. Now I wear whatever is comfortable and if anyone asks or looks I share about my surgery. Most folks can't believe I used to weigh 273. I think even with saggy baggy arm and tummy skin I look better than most 57 year old women. We should all feel pride in our hard work and continued wise choices every day. Have a great Sunday.
