I created this spreadsheet a while ago to provide some insight into items I commonly eat (protein vs calories). Thought I would share:

Thanks! I've thought of doing this for a very long time. Maybe you've given me a push to do it for my favorite foods.

I wanted to add a category for cost per gram of protein and calorie. High quality dense protein, with a few exceptions, like chicken, are more expensive. High carb, high calorie choices are usually dirt cheap.

Thanks Liz.

This is BRILLIANT Liz! I love it. Smart lady.

But what about steak? There is no steak on your spreadsheet! LOL

You have also inspired me to create something like this as I tend to eat the same things over and over as well.

LOL! I haven't updated it for a while (and didn't put everything on - just my most common items to give me insight as to smarter choices).

Hi Liz!
Wonderful chart! I printed it, and then taped it to the inside of my busiest cabinet door. Even after just a few days, it's plain that I reference it quite a bit - definitely more than I thought I would...a pleasant surprise!
(Lol...and it's not like I have so many healthy habits that I can't always use one more, eh?!) :)
Thx, Liz!

Awesome chart, girlie! Thanks for sharing.

Quick question, are the meat/fish-seafood ounces figured raw or cooked? TY!

I assume cooked - I used the values from MFP.
