Late Night NSVs

Two NSVs before I head off to bed.

1 Today I realized that I've learned how to stop eating when I am content. Sounds weird, but before I would just keep eating and eating. I never felt satisfied mentally, but I always felt sickly full physically. I couldn't say no to eating more- almost like a food horder; getting as much as I could before it was out. Now, when I'm satisfied (thank you runny nose to alert me to this, as well) I can say "I'm done". I don't feel the compulsive need to finish my plate. I'm truly satisfied! Yay!

2. After my walk tonight I wanted a snack. I sat down and asked, am I hungry hungry or just head hungry (a NSV in its own right). I decided I was hungry since I didn't finish my dinner, but didn't want a full meal. In the past I would have wanted chips or brownies or both. Tonight? I wanted steamed broccoli since I already hit my protein goal. So I steamed the life out of my broccoli so my little pouch wouldn't hate me and tossed on some cayan powder for zest and nutrional yeast for B12 and extra protein! Heck yes! Who would have thought I would ever drool over broccoli? It was the perfect evening snack.

Seriously, I'm so happy to be losing weight. But beyond that I'm so happy that my lifestyle, my food choices, my body are getting SO much healthier. Everyday I'm becoming the best version of myself. Lots of love to everyone else on their journey :)

Of course! It's funny because they seem like such small and "normal" things. But for those like me who have never had a healthy relationship with food these are GIANT victories!

yep, after weeks of protein drinks and such, one tends to fall in love with veggies. Not that I didn't like them before but I love the veggie section of the market. Diane S
