Has anyone gone from band to sleeve to bypass due to acid reflux

I recently visited my Dr due to daily chest pain and acid reflux. I am almost 4 years with my sleeve, I've gained 8lbs and I'm not able to each much. He said my sleeve maybe to tight and depending on my tests and my esophagus, I may need the bypass to save the esophagus. Another surgery sounds scary to me and I'm praying it won't be the case.
If anyone had to go through this, please share your experience
I haven't, but this happens often enough. Do a search on this site, and you'll find a lot of discussions from those *****vised because of acid.

Keep us posted, and good luck.

I had high acid, and large hiatal hernia, so I had the By Pass first..

. If it is recommended be sure not to put it off and do what you need to stop damage to your esophagus and vocal cords.

My surgery was done by one of the first surgeons doing the procedure and teaching it...I have never been sorry tho it was well before the minimlly invasive ones they do now.

Yes there are things i still avoid, but with time comes more tolerance. Just follow the instructions and you have a really good chance of having minimal complications. Nothing is ever guaranteed, but having all instructions written down (keep a copy put back and update the reserve copy from time to time, should your 'working copy' get damaged. )

Keep a list of all your supplements tht are recommended, when they are changed , as time passes, record somewhere it was changed, meds were removed (and WHY)

just check the revisions forum there are lots of examples of people going sleeve to bypass because of reflux. I had reflux with the band so I decided on revision to RNY instead of sleeve. good news is no more reflux. totally gone.
