We're going back to Hawaii in April. This time we are taking our son so I've been teaching him how to swim. He's having the hardest time with floating. I realize that I now have difficulties floating as well. Apparently when you lose 150+ pounds of personal flotation device it's a whole lot more difficult!

I noticed the same thing this summer - I sank like a stone without all the nice buoyant fat to push me up. It makes swimming a bit scarier but maybe it's better exercise.

Definitely more work. If I'm not moving then I'm sinking!
