Take a nice ribeye. Put it on the grill for several minutes. Turn it over. Cook for a few more minutes. Add salt. Enjoy.

A lot of my cooking these days is "put meat and seasonings in ziptop bag, sous vide for 2-4 hours at 54C, remove, and sear." The sous vide is amazing. :D

My kids like skillet pizza: cheese, pepperoni, olives, bacon bits cooked all in a skillet for a few seconds.

Reading these recipes, I think there's a theme with bariatric cooking, lol. I think it's often hard to make a full recipe and have it fit within the most of our mealtime calorie/carb goals.

As other's have stated my favorite thing to do is meat and a veggie. We mostly eat steak, boneless/skinless chicken thighs, turkey/chicken sausage, and pork chops/loin/tenderloin, etc. We actually eat steak/beef pretty infrequently because I'm snobby about the cut and we currently can't grill as we're living in an apartment that doesn't allow us to have one. I roast and Instant Pot most of our meat. I'm interested in getting a Sous Vide too.

For side dishes, my favorite thing lately has to be Hibachi vegetables. I put some sesame oil in the pan and whatever veggies I have on hand. Most times that's asparagus, zucchini, summer squash, broccoli, onion, or mushrooms. I saute until they are browned a bit and then add some water to steam them. I repeat the water until they are tender and then give them a final dose of sesame oil and some sesame seeds. My kids go crazy over them. I've also done this with cauliflower rice and broccoli rice (was not a fan of the broccoli though).

I also really love roasting veggies with chili powder and cumin and adding a handful of shaved almonds for the last 5 minutes of cooking (I've done this with pumpkin seeds too). Sometimes I'll add one sweet potato as one of the veggies and that always makes a nice treat.

Coconut Shrimp curry with lots of veggies. It usually calls for some basmati rice, but I often forget about the rice. The curry fills me up!
