So, I'm dealing with the issue of extra skin.. 3 c sections prior to my wls left me with cut stomach muscles, I'm almost to my goal weight but the skin is driving me crazy, my question is.. has anyone tried "hot cream"? Problem areas are my thighs, upper arms and my belly.

A quick google search showed me that hot cream is for cellulite reduction. We don't have cellulite, we have extra skin. Hot cream won't shrink your skin, nor will cool sculpting for that matter or any creams or over the counter products. Heck, even liposuction won't do anything about extra skin. Literally the only solution for extra skin is plastic surgery.

I'm sorry

Unfortunately the only way to deal with excess skin is with surgical removal. Or compression garments. Or just deciding not to care about it!

Our skin doesn't stretch as we gain weight (as most people believe). We actually grow more skin to cover the fat. No cream is going to un-grow skin. Save your money for plastic surgery. It's the only solution to extra skin. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news.

A lot of stuff works ... kinda sorta but it's a huge effort and even exorbitant expense . My personal belief is in saving your shekels to get excellent plastic surgery in a reasonably priced place like Mexico or Eastern Europe.

That said skin scrubbing Jacuzzi baths daily use of salicylic acid containing bath scrubs ( they're really cheap as generics by the way! ) beaches ( sal****er sand and sun ) really work to tighten the skin you're in.

But in the long run I think you'll be much happier and weigh less having taken the empty fat cells and hanging skin off if you can manage it.

Please don't waste your money on anything other than plastics once you're at your goal weight for AT LEAST a year. Meet with a plastic surgeon who specializes in working on WLS patients to get an idea of the type of work you might be interested in.

Only two things work for loose skin: plastic surgery and lycra.

You could spend a fortune on a million lotions and potions, but they affect cellulite by shrinking it or enlarging it for a smoothing effect. You've got the skin of an obese person. Shrinking makes skin looser, and there ain't enough hot cream in the world to fill what you have left to fill.
