Air fryer -- do you use it?

I'm thinking about getting an air fryer, but I could use some stories from people who've actually used them.

I imagine we'd do wings in them fairly frequently, since my husband would gladly eat them seven days a week if he could. We do them in the oven now, but would the air fryer get them just as crispy?

I like the idea of doing veggies in the air fryer. Zucchini fries, green beans, and whatnot. Maybe falafels and shrimp too, for high-protein ideas.

We'll probably do lots of chicken nuggets and cauliflower tots, since I've got an almost-three-year-old!

Is it worth the expense and counter space in your opinion?

Thanks!

We love ours and find we use it daily. Wings are great but so is mushroom cap pizza...Plus we use to to hard boil eggs, reheat left overs (I have a lot of those! ) Then we've made everything from fish, chicken nuggets, fries, reheated onion rings, to steaks and corn on the cob. It doesn't heat the house up and it's super fast.

Hard boiled eggs are 16 minutes at 250 and you can walk away and not worry! They peel like a dream.

When we first started we followed the recommendation to use oil, now we hardly use any at all.

Honestly, we haven't found anything that isn't better in Bubba... That's our air-fryer!

It's so worth the money

I would do chicken wings in mine all day every day I think! I have been thinking about getting one as well so I'm so glad for this question being asked.

Why would they say use oil if it's an air fryer?

You still use oil but a fraction of what you would use if you deep fried.

You use a high quality oil and just spritz the food you are frying with it. That's all. The air moves around the food and cooks and crisps it without immersing it in oil.

You still need the oil to cook and crisp the food.

The longer we have it the less oil we use. If we use oil now, it's less than 1/2 teaspoon. Most of the time now we use none.

I love mine. It is basically a mini convection oven. I've done potatoes (way pre op) zucchini match sticks...carrots are good too.

they are awesome for chicken nuggets and other frozen stuff. I love crisping up broccoli in it too. I imagine chicken wings would be fantastic!

I have an instapot and air fryer and only use the later on a regular basis....something like 3-6 times a week.

I love my air fryer. It gets cauliflower tots really crispy. I have actually even cooked a steak in mine. It was really pretty good. It cooks quick so you just have to watch it so the steak isn't overly done. I love sweet potato fries, and I use it for those as well. My teenage daughter uses it for pizza rolls and nuggets and it gets them really crispy. She likes it better done that way versus baking in the oven which is what we used to do.

We have one and use it a few times a week. Ian's horrible diet accounts for most of it but yay for chicken wings!
