 | Post Date: 5/4/06 7:26 pm You need to highlight the image. That's what worked for me. :-) If all else fails you could upload it to a server like photobucket, then copy and paste. Maybe the program you have it in isn't compatible. |

The reason why the pictures show up from your site is that because of just that..it's your site..and you pay for the badwidth.
Most sites that do not allow hotlinking (Yahoo, Geocities,Angelfire, Tripod etc..even picturetrail) is because they dont want people who have FREE accounts to use up lots of bandwidth..
If someone has a geocities premium account or a paid picturetrail account etc..they CAN hotlink..
Another thing..most people do not realize that their very own ISP (Internet service provider) offers web space..and with that web space comes bandwidth..and with that..they can usually hotlink photos providing they stay within their allotted bandwith :)
I usually just direct people to Photobucket because it's free and ease of use..
But there are others out there..

| Post Date: 5/5/06 3:15 pm Oh I understand all this - and agree that should be the case. What's odd to me is, I have my website set up to NOT allow bandwidth swap outside my own space. Weird huh? Cause it's letting me and I"m not showing any additional usage of bandwidth than normal. Not sure - weird is all lol. Appreciate your assistance though! *smooch* |

If it isnt showing increased use then that is a good thing I suppose lol
I had a feeling you knew..since you know everything! lol..but I also posted it because man people dont realize that web space for them to use is right under their nose with their ISP's ;)
I'm contemplating food..that damn jello and cool whip from earlier still have me feelng bloated and crappy lol
I noticed you had posted a week or so ago about cake and topping separate..but together it's like a nuclear bomb..same thing here..ick..oh well..live and learn..or maybe not..since I keep doing it every so often lol
