     Beth,

You can and you DO so much more than spell well. I haven't told you how much I loved your observations in regards to ABC's 20/20. Terribly clever, insightful, and hilarious with a "snarky" style. Keep up the good fight! I wish there was a way for you to send your commentary to the powers that be at ABC and to everyone who worked on that silly piece pf garbage they try to pass off as journalism.

     Oh Kelly,

I have never noticed any typos or otherwise in your always informative and educational posts. Don't mind me, just being an old crank pot.

Whatever happened to accurate spelling, punctuation, and grammar? Just a pissy little rant here, I have just been noticing and it bugs me so much, the misspellings, poor grammar, and punctuation of so many posts. I have to ask, is it a lack of education or just plain laziness?
Topic: RE: Hating the protein shakes
Boy, I'm with ya!! I am quite concerned because I am three weeks out and have yet to meet my protein goal even once!!! God, what's gonna come of that I wonder. However, here's the good news, just today I went to Walmart and bought RTD's in the same brands I already had at home in powder form. For some reason I found the one I tried somewhat tolerable and got it down and kept it down. Maybe it just took this amount of time for my stomach to settle down from the stress of surgery and I was finally ready to handle it or another idea I had is that there is something about the blender adding too much air and volume and fluffiness and creaminess, BLEH. The ready to drink was more the consistency of a somewhat viscous chocolate milk instead of a thick shake, put it over ice and it seems to thin out even more. Worked for me and I am relieved, just hope no permanent damage done by going three weeks without anywhere near the amount recommended. Keep experimenting and good luck. But I sympathize, THEY SUCK!!!! Hang in there.
Topic: RE: Clueless/ is there a tutorial for that?
Hi, yes I am not very savvy at figuring out the whole computer thing, wondering if OH site offers anywhere a tutorial on how to get one's profile filled out. Things like tickers and widgets, pictures, profiles, etc....OR does one just figure this out by trial and error?
Topic: RE: Pre-surgery weigh in or.....NOT
I am wondering if there are others here whose surgeon and their team just decided to NOT even bother to weigh you on the day of your surgery? I can't tell you how disappointed and down right pissed off I was last Thursday March 22 when I arrived at UCSF for my scheduled RNY and realized after coming out of the general that they had not bothered to take a weight, there's no point of reference!! The last time my doctor and his team weighed and recorded my weight was an entire month before day of surgery whereupon I was instructed to go on a two week liquid fast consisting of three slim fast cans a day.

I am so upset about that and much of my experience. Feeling sad, depressed. Isolated, and lost. Felt ignored and unsupported by my surgeons office staff when I left three messages today with some degree of urgency and was never given a return call. What the hell is this, "we've got our money now, don't let the door hit ya in the ass." i****F is an actual "Center of Excellence" I would hate to be a patient of your "Center of NON-excellence"

Five excruciating failed attempts at getting my IV hooked up, a nonstop battle to have access to my nasal spray which I cannot breathe without, the ONE and ONLY good thing I can say about my experience with UCSF was the entire nursing staff and patient assistants. They were amazing in every possible way, true angels.
Topic: RE: Surgery in a week, still don't know, please help
Wow, everyone has responded with such a great deal of thoughtfulness. It has been extremely helpful and though I am still not committed to either the sleeve or RNY, thanks to all of the provoking conversations I am closer to making that final decision. So thank you and I wish you the best on your journey!

     Hi,

Newbie here, I am scheduled for my surgery on March 22, coming so fast and still I spend the days with racing thoughts about which surgery type to have. First, I told my surgeon I wanted the Sleeve, later changed my mind to the RNY Bypass. Now I am second, or maybe third guessing my decision. Does anyone have any thoughts on how to go about making a final decision? Any help is greatly appreciated!!
