I'migoing to have a hiatal hernia repaired at the same time I'm going to be sleeved.  Has anyone had this done and if so, have you had any problems related to that part of the surgery?  I think I'm more concerned about having problems with the hernia then I am with the sleeve.  As it stands now, I have a great deal of problems with the hernia and having to wait until the 19th is the worst part of it.  I'm so tired of having to sit up to sleep and wake myself up choking every night.  

Any imput on this matter would be greatly appreciated.

Well, I have a 10:00 am appointment with my surgeon and I'm hoping to get my surgery date scheduled.  I am having to have a very large hiatal hernia repaired and my insurance is covering that expense, but they won't cover the wls so I am self paying the surgeon for the sleeve portion of the surgery, whch really isn't too bad.  I'm just hoping I don't have to pay too much more to the hospital and anestesiologist since the insurance is covering that part for my hernia repair.  

I have already completed my appointments with the phychologist and nutritionist a couple weeks ago.  I think the only thing left to do is blood work and ekg if my surgeon requires it and pre-register with the hospital.    

I am so ready to begin this journey and start my new life as a much happier and healhier person!
