Old school remedy: sit in a tub of ho****er. My grandmother and mother made us do it when we were constipated like that. Sounds funny but it works. I've had to do it more than twice since I had my sleeve surgery but it works quickly and keeps you from straining.

I tried Miralax, Dulcolax, MOM, they all worked....for about a week and then stopped working. Since you have to take a bath anyway, may as well kill two birds with one stone.

Topic: RE: What an Asshole! (Not WLS Related)
You know I want to know what they said in response, lol.
Topic: RE: Need help to deceide on an outfit for interview
I own a business. I would never hire anyone who came in capris. I don't care if they were applying to be a janitor.

Ever heard the saying to dress for the job you want (ultimately)?

Go to a store.  Get a nice white long-sleeved blouse, a nice pair of black dressy slacks, and a black blazer. Also, make sure your shoes are appropriate. No sandals. No clogs.

It may be hot where you are but you're only wearing it for an interview.
Topic: RE: Life Insurance at my age?
My mom is 52, non-smoker, in good health and pays about $125/mo for $100,000 .
Topic: RE: Life Insurance at my age?
Yup but it will cost you. 53 may be young in the grand scheme but in terms of life insurance premiums....well....53 is not 23.
    Topic: RE: Legal question
Not illegal. But, if I were you, I'd tell them to grandfather me in or that I'm going to another surgeon. Under your cir****tances, I think they'll oblige.
    Topic: RE: Cellulitis
My hubby got cellulitis from a shave he got at the barber. It was on his cheek. Apparently, the clippers weren't cleaned well. Maybe you had a sweat duct that got clogged and infected from working out?
Topic: RE: don't get pregnant right after surgery!!
Yep. There's another forum on which there's a lady who is 9 months along but had her surgery 12 months ago. You do the math. I can't even imagine.
    Topic: RE: Lost and alone
In addition to the weight, I'd highly recommend mental health counseling as well.

Oh dear...clearly that wasn't good for you! I, on the other hand LOVE wounds...an odd thing to say I guess but I do. The deeper & nastier the better. Ones you have to get your hand right in & pack are the best - I once had this lady who had a wound that had begun as a bedsore at the bottom of her back but due to neglect & poor nursing had developed into a cavity so deep that you had to put your arm in up to the armpit to reach the bottom of it - somewhere up near her shoulder. It was a disgrace that she was allowed to get into that condition. Awful - & her husbands fault.

But yes, I love the challenge of wound care.

    Xx
Dear sweet cosmos! You must be a nurse. It's no so much the wound but the growl of pain. I felt like I was handling a grenade. Didn't want to touch the wrong thing for fear that it lead directly to the heart.

Happened to my husband. The doctor stuck his finger in it and told me that to take care of it, I would have to put gause INSIDE his incision twice each day.
Topic: RE: Unhappy with Atlanta Bariatrics?
Not in Atlanta but at this point, if you want to stay with them, I'd ask to speak with the doctor. Office staff seems to get in gear when you ask to speak with the doctor directly.
Topic: RE: When will it ever be MY night?
Okay so I went on over to the sex thread as well and uh-ruh....

    no, ma'am.

Whether or not things will be different when you lose weight, it's hard to say. Plenty of thin women are single and don't get hit on. It really depends on what you're looking for. If you just want a pair of thighs in the bed next to you, you can get that anywhere at any size. However, long-term relationships, good ones, take effort to find and keep no matter how you look.
