Had you been in there for any other reason on any other day, you'd been asked if you knew about WLS.
I wouldn't let someone else's indiscretions get you down. You know your mind, body and soul. You have a clearer picture of where you want to go and what you want to do in life. You have your family and friends helping you along the way.
Put this chap out of your mind and carry on--he has--and you're better off than him anyways!

For me, I think it's just my way of doing a reality check in that I am fully aware of the risks behind this surgery. (I'm going for an RNY)
I'm also under the impression that having nervous feelings before the surgery is quite normal. I don't have much to offer other than that, but just to let you know, yeah--I hear ya!
