Taking vitamins is a non-negotiable. If you are unable to find something you can take, you absolutely should NOT have surgery!!!

There is a button on the blue bar above that says "search" - it's an amazing tool for seeing all the previous "battles" you so desire ... It may even give you the information you want too!

I live in an extremely healthy district in (I think) the healthiest state in the nation. You rarely see an obese adult, let alone an obese child in my neighbourhood.
I'll be handing out candy and letting parents parent their children and their eating habits - they seem to be doing OK!!!

Put any money you plan on spending on "miracle" creams in a jar marked "plastic surgery" because it's the only thing that helps!
Skin issues are dependent on genetics, how long you have been overweight etc. Even though I was 41, I had very little excess skin because I wasn't MO for very long (about 2 years).
It's a crapshoot whether you'll end up with a lot or not a lot - start saving anyway!!!

You actually said you were not eating well ... A banana for dinner is neither a good choice nor adequate nutrition for you, let alone a growing fetus.
How underweight are you? If your BMI has got below 18, then I understand your OB's concern but if it is within a healthy range then gaining or not gaining weight is not a problem when you are pregnant, not eating well is. As long as you are getting adequate nutrition and calories per day in a healthy diet, I wouldn't worry about how much you weigh. Babies are parasites, they'll take all they need and leave your body to figure out what it's going to do!!!

I think Moviprep IS the best option - none of them are pleasant or easy. It's just a case of mind over matter (or crappy taste)! There is nothing in this that makes you vomit - it just tastes disgusting!
If you are looking for some secret, easy option, I think you are going to be disappointed!

I mixed mine with Crystal Lite.
Honestly? This isn't a choice - it's a necessity so you are going to have to put on your Big Girl Knickers and chug it down however you can!
None of us thought it was delicious!

NOTHING will shrink your pouch without another surgery!
There is a forum on here to get Back On Track and if you put this into the search feature you will come up with a ton of GOOD ideas for getting back on track without fad diets.
Good luck

Why would you need to drink shakes at this point? They are not some sort of weight loss miracle!
Concentrate on good dense protein, which will fill you up, and limit the carbs.

I wholeheartedly agree, Dana - we see posts almost daily where someone a couple of years out "suddenly" has this mysterious condition ...
I think it is extremely common among the RNY population and for most of us, very easily controlled by following the type of diet (protein forward, full fat, low carb combo) we are supposed to follow.
I know there are exceptions who have extra sensitivity and may require pharmacological or surgical intervention but for most of us management is just a case of not eating carb forward and making sure that if we do eat carbs, they are accompanied by the said protein and fat.

This subject is asked and answered - probably on a weekly basis - and the answers are always subjective and based on personal medical history.
The search function will give you access to lots (and lots) of previous posts~!

See - this is why I get confused - drinking with meals is touted as a big plus for a DS/VSG over an RNY ...
Personally, it's never bothered me, because I was bought up to NOT drink with meals, but I know for some people this is a really big deal!
Oh, well, chalk this up to my continuing education on different types of WLS - thank you!!!!

If you have an RNY it's recommended that you don't drink with meals or for 30 minutes afterwards because it liquefies/pushes food through the stoma quicker, thus making you hungry quicker and may aid in increasing the amount you can eat. It's because of the altered anatomy.
I don't think it applies to VSG or DS because they still have a valve and not a stoma - perhaps someone can correct me if I'm wrong on this?

We can't eat salads because of the stoma???
We usually don't eat salads early on because we need to concentrate on our protein intake so the recommendation is to treat salad as a side and not a main course! Not sure what my stoma has to do with that

Great answer, MsBatt!
If you lose 100+lbs, people will notice and will "KNOW" you had WLS even if they don't say anything to your face - If you don't want to tell all and sundry that's your business, but if you downright lie, don't then get pissy if someone calls you a liar !!
In the early days, I told anyone who would listen and couldn't escape Now, not so much because no one I know now, knew me 9 years ago. I eat like a slim person, exercise like a slim person etc. If someone asked, I'd absolutely tell them - I've done nothing to be ashamed of as far as I'm concerned but I don't think I owe anyone to tell them any of my medical history unless it's of particular interest to them or could be helpful in some way ...

WLS doesn't change your personality or your morals, it just changes your opportunity.
Cheating is one of the worst things you can do to injure a person and you are already doing it. If you don't want your husband, then give him an opportunity to find someone who will appreciate him and you chase the man of your dreams as a single woman.
Alternatively, wake up before you ruin something that at this point you don't deserve, but may be able to salvage!
Get a therapist - ending a marriage is not easy and if you do decide to do it, you need to be in the best place mentally you can be.
