Lorna,
Sounds like you know what I'm going through! That feels good! Went to another meeting tonight, it was "okay", still looking for a good women's group. I'll find it! And today, I do feel like there's no stopping me. Love you Lorna!
Well happy anniversary to you too! You have done great too!
Jealous husbands/lovers/etc! We have to remember to be sensitive to their feelings. My fiance asked me last night if I was going to leave him. That was his biggest fear when I had the surgery. I think if your relationship is good "before" surgery that we can make it through most anything after. There are lots of couples breaking up after WLS and I can only imagine that it must have sucked before surgery. We just get a bit more courageous when we lose the weight! Love you! Maybe try some counseling with a therapist with bariatric background. Best of luck to you! Keep in touch!
OMG! I see your big day is coming up! I was so emotional before & after surgery. I know what you must be going through! Stay close to OH and you will do great! Keep in touch!
OMG! Your big day is coming up! I bet you are going through all kinds of emotions! I cried all the time before and then had my first melt down (hormones) about a week after. It does get better! I promise! Keep in touch! Love ya!
I totally understand! I was a weekend drinker too and then it went to being daily and then all day long when I was off work. Very scary time! I hope you continue to do well. You are doing great!
A year ago today I was sleeved and my life changed forever! I've lost 129 lbs since I started my journey, an that includes some that I lost prior to surgery, but it all counts baby! That's my motto! I have so many favorite things I do today, bike riding, crossing my legs, walking, eating healthy and more organic than ever, shave my legs and paint my toes with ease, and SHOPPING, just to name a few! It's been an incredible ride. Today is day 18 without alcohol. Someday, I hope to be happy about this part. I still log my food, weigh daily, don't stress over stalls "to much", lol, drink lots of water, take my vits, and take better care of myself than ever before. My daughter is so proud of her Mom. My fiance, Marty is so happy for me and is my biggest supporter. It's been an emotional day reflecting over the past year. I've meet some really incredible people on this site and wish you all great success. We are in this thing together! Here's a pic of me today. Love you guys!
Hey Jo, I just went through what you are going through! I am 11 months out and have been between 183 and 188 since end of May. I hit 179.4 on July 4th! Whoo Hoo! Just keep doing what you are doing and you will get there. My internal goal was 180 and I hit it! Stayed the same today too :)
Take care!
Have they asked the doctor about a substitute medication? I was on Prilosec "long time ago" and it wans't on my formulary so my doc put me on Protonix. Maybe Protonix will work fine?
