I never really posted on the main board here...stuck to the VSG board. But now that Im so far post op (it'll be 3 years in a few days here) I have other stuff going on....like my excess skin removal! Here is a picture of my arms 2 weeks post WLS and then today, 2 weeks post plastics. I had a LBL, arm lift, and fat transfer to (_:_)

Wonderful wonderful post chocked full of honesty! It sounds like its been a bumpy path but you are keeping your head up and rightfully so - you've been thru a lot! Even tho we arent "fat" anymore we will forever carry our affliction with us. When we forget is when it creeps back - cunning, baffling, and powerful that addiction is. I think sometimes its hard to relate to people because thin people dont "get it"....yet I feel those who are still heavy dont look at me as "one of the group" because I am not heavy anymore. So I can understand your feelings as well.

My PS said use SPF, so no sun on my scars for 6 months or a year (cant remember). I have to agree with him because after my VSG the scars were healing nicely....then I went tanning and one bumped up really bad and turned pink. I would recommend not allowing your scars to see the sun yet.

I had a bad gash on my leg when I was 16 - the plastic surgeron I visited later for scar treatment told me the same thing about the vitamin E capsules....and it really worked. On one part the ER doctor literally sewed back on dead looking skin and did in frankenstein style (note to self - demand a plastic surgeon be called if you ever go to the ER with a wound that needs to be sewed back together, I did not know back then) so anyhoo he sewed on bad skin and it was dark purple colored for a long time. Now, for both of the marks from this accident no one would ever notice they were there and I used vitamin E capsules that I broke open.

Some of my favorite foods now, are foods that I WOULD NOT eat before. In fact - I wouldnt even eat food if it TOUCHED some of these items that I now devour on a daily basis:
Onions, garlic, cauliflower, peppers, capers, spinach....the list goes on! Its crazy how much our tastes change. I think what helped me was not eating processed food for over 6 months. Once you get the fake food out of your system, things that are naturally good for us start tasting better.

I went to Dr. Pompa in Tijuana. There are many good DRs in Mexico to choose from to save money :)

There is an emergency, 24 hour number you can call for immediate processing. Google it....if you can prove your travel plans, they can overnight it to you. I know of 2 people who had theirs done like this.

Ive done some spring cleaning and have some clothes that are in good condition, some even still with tags on. I know its awesome to keep getting into smaller sizes...but frustrating buying all new clothes every month! Heres a chance to save some money, and also help me out :)
I have the clothes divided by sizes. For each "group" or photo, I am asking you to paypal for $25 :) for shipping/handling/and a teeny left over for me after USPS takes most of it lol. Tell me which one you want.
Sizes range from 12 to 18....below each photo is a description.
Group A12 - all size 12 stuff....express jeans, brand new shorts with $32 price tag, skirt, brand new pink shirt with price tag of $20, and an XL under shirt. All for only $25 :)
Group B12 - all size 12 stuff....black dress pants, blue dress pants, and a brand new blue one piece suit with the $79 tags still on. All for only $25 :)
C14 - very good condition size 14 business suit with skirt, XL shirt, size 14 jeans. All for only $25 :)
D14 - size 14 stuff, VERY nice business suit, 2xl green shirt, black skirt, grey cargo carpis. All for only $25 :)
E16 - size 16 green jeans, size 16 grey work pants, and 3 shirts with collars - sizes XL and 2XL. All for only $25 :)
F16 - all size 16 stuff...black business suit with skirt, pink 2XL shirt, brown dress pants, and green goucho/capri pants with $30 price tag still in place. All for only $25 :)
G16 - this is for someone between 14 and 16. Jeans, grey dress pants, and khaki/jean. Green 2XL shirt new with tags $20, red shirt is 14/16...like an XL. All for only $25 :)
H18 - all size 18...jeans, green dress pants, and black skirt. Shirt is new with $20 tags still on. Both shirts are 3xl, but they will fit a 2xl person too. All for only $25 :)

For those who dont know me Im Kelly...I normally post in the VSG but thought Id share this here as well. Im almost 2 years out, maintaining a nearly 100 lb loss for over a year.
