One of the goals I posted about 2 months post up was to walk a half marathon.

Yesterday, I did 13.25 miles in a single walk (a half marathon distance is 13.1 miles)

I was a little pissed off at the gym, after doing my weight circuit, all the treadmills were full, so I could not do my intervals well.

It was a nice day for Michigan in February (sunny, mid thirties, light wind and no snow on the ground). So I decided to go walk in a local state park.

Feeling good, did some very light running off and on in the first few miles Next thing I know, I went Forrest Gump, and just kept going.

That is absolutely awesome!!!!  That is also one of my goals.  I registered for one in September and I know I will be ready to walk it, but really want to run most of it!  Thanks for the inspiration and I hope I can channel my inner Forest Gump today!!!

Wow - thats a HUGE accomplishment!!!   I'm totally jealous - I cant even imagine attempting it.

Thanks everybody, but I just want to cl airy on thing.

    I 95% walked the distance.

I meant the Forrest Gump reference as I just kept going, unplanned, because it felt right at the time,

I ran only a little at the beginning. as a matter of fact, because it was unplanned, I did not have the right shoes, and I limped the last mile with a blister on my toe.,

    I wasn't trying to miss-lead anybody.

    Gary!!!!  You ROCK!!!!!

Sometimes my best inspiration to work harder is aggrivation -- which sadly is one of my personality flaws... Bet it felt AMAZING when you completed the distance!!!!

Ha ha ha, I know the feeling, Forrest Gump'ing it!!!!!!!!!
