A friend who does not know about my surgery saw me for the first time in over a year. She said, "I can tell you did it in a healthy way". I didn't know what she meant and really didn't care. But I'm pretty sure that she is not thinking that I had surgery. I wasn't phased by it.
BTW, I had excess skin when I lost some weight without surgery a couple of years ago. The way I see it is this: I've had excess skin for years. Now, there is less fat filling it out. I don't embrace it but I accept it as a sign of my success and progress. What's the alternative?
