Weight Loss Surgery Directory

New to this Forum -- Hello to everyone

Today was a huge milestone for me, scale showed I have Lost 100lbs.   It’s been at least 10 years since I have seen this number on a scale.(220)  What an amazing journey.

Last year at this time, I was suffering with diabetes complications, High blood pressure, hyperthyroid, acid reflux,  torn meniscus in both knees and an Achilles issue,  could barely walk, and yet to be discovered sever sleep apnea. I rarely left house except to go to doctor.  I could hardly go up and down stairs.  That was for me the proverbial straw that broke the camel’s back.  It was then I started to research WLS.  Starting BMI 59.

My weight loss progress since surgery (Nov. 2011) has been steady, off or significantly reduced medications and knee pain so far is gone, no issues with stairs or distance.  My only health difficulties have been issues with dental implant surgery and an eye surgery, with Achilles tendinitis along the way. They have been bumps in the road to better health.  Hoping most of that is behind me.  As for following healthy eating plan, so far that’s going really good.  I am back on track with exercise 6 x a week. Tons of energy!  Still have zero hunger and for me that helps.  I feel great!!! OH has been a great resource, vets are awesome and inspiring.  I still have a lot to lose, and next goal is onederland.

    Congratulations!
100 pounds in 7 months is incredible.

    Amazing progress.

Stay the course and you will be at your next goal in no time.

    cheers,
