    Surgery Date at long last

    DS on 08/24/12 with
    I am scheduled for my DS with Dr. Prachand in Chicago on 08/24. Took me a 18 months to get the insurance approval but I am finally on the way.  I'm nervous but ready, feel like I have been researching WLS for 1/2 my life and I am so glad the date is finally here. 

    With a BMI of 68, I can't wait to get going on this journey.  I have been a long time lurker on this board and have been so blessed to have this forum to keep me going through the rough spots.  I'm sure I'll be back much more once the surgery is actually done.

    We are similar starting BMI rates. I think I'm at 33 right now or so... it's an AMAZING journey... congrats... you are in for the ride of your life, but I wouldn't change a single thing... xoxo

    Congrats on getting a date! We'll keep our fingers crossed until you're on the bench! :)

    I was a 69, and am now a 35 ! It helped that I gained back an inch of height!
      
        
    Starting BMI 69 w comorbidities | 55 of the weight lost above was pre-op.
