I celebrated my 6 months since my surgery on the 24th of August. As of the 22nd I am down a total of 139 pounds and I have been in Onderland for almost 3 weeks. I can't believe it. So many things in my life has changed for the better, the most being my health. I feel great physically. My left knee still lets me know the damage I did to it at 332+ pounds but I can now go up and down stairs without wanting to cry. As a matter of fact I was at a Mariner's game yesterday and basically glided down a bunch of flights of stairs. I love the way I feel when I get up in the morning and I don't dread the upcoming day. I get up, put sweats and tennies on and then I am out the door and I have my 4 1/2 miles in my 6:30am. So different that 6 months ago.

One of the weirdest things about this is that I am not the largest one when I go out with my friends. I was at a clothing store trying on clothes with one of my girlfriends. She tried on the exact same pair of jeans that I did and they were too small. I know this isn't very nice but I did a little happy dance in my heart. It is a first for me not being the big one. I went back the next day and bought the smaller size jeans because they fit. I didn't want to buy them in front of her because she wasn't exactly happy that the jeans didn't fit her and they fit me.

I am beginning to see myself as I am sometimes. I see this face I have now everyday in the mirror and I like what I see but as far as my body goes I think my brain has a bit to catch up on.

I am kind of excited for my follow-up tomorrow. I feel like I have been successful in my weight loss although I do have 61 pounds to go before I am in a healthy BMI range which is my goal. I am going to try to include pictures in this post but if they do not come out they are on my profile. I only have some head shots as I still have to post full body shots.

Thank you to everyone who posts on OH. I have gained some much knowledge and support from all of you!

Mo

I can't figure out how to post the pictures so they are on my profile. Sorry

You look absolutely fantastic!!  And your eyes no longer have that sad look, they are very bright and happy.  Love the new hair color on you.
