I haven't posted anything in awhile. Just wasn't in a good place. My BMI was over 70 and my surgeon wouldn't touch me then I was diagnosed as type 2.......BUT.....

After two long years of having surgery scheduled and having to cancel due to my parents being ill.... (they took care of me so it was my turn to take care of them) I finally had my surgery on December 10, 2014 at 7:30 A.M.  It has been a rough first week, but I did it. The drains came out yesterday and boy what a relief!!!! Oh yeah and I had lost 29 pounds but the drains were out!!!!!!!!!

So happy for you!! Just take things one day at a time. I did not really feel like I had a handle on things until I was about 6 months out. Be kind to yourself along the way!!

Congratulations on the surgery, the 29 pound loss, and of course getting the drain out! What a great holiday gift.

Thank you. As excited as I was over the weight loss, I have to admit having the drains out was the icing on the cake....
