I have used it in the past and really loved it.  I am using FitDay now but if I ever have any problems with it I won't hesitate to go back to fitness pal.

I think it's probably the most popular app for logging food.  My program, Cleveland Clinic, highly recommends it.  I do have to watch though, since it's user based, sometimes there are mistakes - so I am careful to check things until I have used them a few times.  I have logged every day since two weeks before my surgery.  Due to traveling, there have been a couple times that I have been "offline" thus it doesn't "count" the day -- but I never miss.  I have noticed that a great deal of people in my real life support group who have long term success, log and keep accountable.  I decided that this is something I will do for the rest of my life as a way of keeping myself honest.  It is such a habit now that I barely have to think about it.

I just started using it at the recommendation of my program nutritionist and I love it. But at 410 lbs (down from 430), it gives me very high numbers for daily goals (over 2000 cals). Does anyone know how to reset this?

There is a way to reset this if you are on a computer, Go to My Home - then goals - click on "change goals" choose "custom"...

I've been using it since before surgery.  Like KW said, some of the information isn't always accurate since it's user based.  It's easier to check the validity of the nutritional values using a PC instead of the phone app.

I like that I can put all the ingredients of a recipe in to calculate the calories of a serving.  It's a great motivator and keeps you honest.

I use it and it works great. I also love that it links to my Striiv fitness tracker that I wear.
