Pre-op visit and my Optifast experience, what to take to hospital?

Oh the joys of Optifast.  I have been on it now for almost the full month, surgery in less than a week!  I am excited and nervous at the same time.  I have lost 15 pounds on the Optifast.  For some reason, I thought that it would be more, but so goes.  The surgeon seemed happy with my weight loss.

Things the Optifast has caused: extreme headaches and constipation.  The headaches went away eventually, but the constipation...nope.  I hope that isn't tmi.  I cheated one time at work and had a cheese stick.  I have been just taking it.  During the first few days was extremely emotional.  That was awful, would just start crying for no apparent reason.  Suppose to eat six of the products a day and some days have only been able to stomach four.  And tons and tons of water.

So, my surgery is on March 4th and I am looking for must-haves during the stay at the hospital.  I know I am taking my Kindle, and chapstick.  Any other suggestions?  Will I be able to wear jeans?  I have loose fitting ones.  I will have to take a small plane trip so I only want to take the bare necessities.  Any suggestions?  Thanks in advance!

I wore the same clothes to and from the hospital being thankful for the elastic waist pants, not jeans.  You might feel chilled so maybe warmer clothes than normal.   A pillow to hold against your mid-section for the ride home would be nice.  Also, suggesting you leave the Kindle home because a better choice would be to walk, walk, walk when you are not sleeping. March 4th well-wishes!

I waited vets to answer, but here's something I'm considering - wearing a dress. Something like a tee or tank dress, not fancy or tight. Any feedback on that?

Thank you all for the suggestions.  I think I got the necessities and will definitely think about leaving the Kindle behind.  I am not sure about that just at this moment.  The hospital suggested the kindle.  I got travel size of everything else.  I am going to try to fit that pillow in the bag with me as I am just taking a carry on.  Right now I am starting to freak out a little bit, worried about surgery.  I hope that it all goes well, I am worried about getting through the actual surgery o.k. and still alive. I know it is rare, but still, just worried about it. I guess I just think about the things that can go wrong.  After my gall bladder surgery I was up up up and walking everywhere, I.V. pole and everything.  I know the importance of this, oh so much.  Thanks again for the suggestions.  :)
