I'm coming up on week 3 of my 12 weeks of losing weight before surgery.  The first few days were a bear to get through, but I made it.  I can honestly say that once I passed the third day it got easier to be around food that is no longer a part of my life.

To date I've only lost 8 pounds.  That in itself is great since I wouldn't have otherwise lost it if it weren't for this journey.  However, if I am to be honest, I'm disappointed that it's only 8 pounds.  I have been 100% compliant and I'm drinking a minimum of 64oz of water every day.

Finally got to meet my surgeon yesterday.  I love her!  Just as I figured, surgery will be either the end of October or the first part of November.  Either way, it will make for an interesting Thanksgiving meal.  Looks like I better learn how to puree.  LOL

BTW, I'm now down 11 lbs from my weigh in at my first SWL class 20 days ago.

Thank you!  You have me feeling a bit better about the 8 pound loss.  That's one of the things I love about OH, I can come here to get a pat on the back with an atta girl, or I can get a "come to Jesus" scolding if needed.

3 weeks and 8 pound weight loss with no surgery? That's great!! Good for you! Without the surgery I went from January when I met with my Surgeon to March when I had the surgery and lost 15 pounds so you are way ahead of me lol!! I didn't have to go through a supervised weight loss plan because I was self pay but I was still on my own strict diet. You're doing great and what you need to do. Keep on that path and you will do wonderful after the surgery since you can follow a specific diet.
