Weekly weigh in: aug 28-sept 4

Morning weekly weighers!

Well, I did tighten up my carbs, but not as much as you'd think, given the drop this week. There were still a few protein bars had, and even some popcorn at a ball game, and a little bit of corn on the cob Saturday night.

so I don't know if it was the carbs, or just a regular pause/reset my body needed.

whatever, I'll take it.

Closing in my next goal of 178, part of me is starting to think ahead to the next one, but I'm finding it a bit overwhelming to even consider a goal weight... so I will ignore that for a couple more weeks at least.

stats:

HW: 378

LW:190.8

TW: 183.4 (wut?)

Goals: 178, 200 pounds lost. I am in striking distance. Insane! My 1 year surgiversary is sept 8. It would be cool to meet this goal before then, but I'm not that fussed. I know it's coming.

how was everyone's week?

Way to go Insert Fitness, it is hard to believe it hasn't even been a year, you have done so well.

I am officially on the losers bench, my RYN was on Friday, today I am 3 days post op and doing well, I think!

i find it very hard to get protein in but I have managed to increase my water consumption. I am still quite bloated and uncomfortable. The highlight of my day was a shower, it is so nice to feel clean.

Idebated as to whether I should weigh myself today knowing that the number could be higher than last week. I decided to just get on the scale and get it over with.

have a great week everyone.

Congrats! At three days out increased fluids and a shower equal a win in my opinion. I was still in the hospital at that point and wasn't eating anything. I think it was about day five when I was really able to start getting decent amounts of protein. Everybody is different in that regard. Fluid is the most important thing right now.

Congrats! Don't worry so much about the protein yet - focus on liquids and add the protein shakes when you can. Walk and sip as much as you can and heal well :)

Congratulations! Just keep on, keeping on and it will get easier and easier. You'll be hitting protein targets soon enough.

I think that is the best way to look at it. If you do it within the year, that's cool. But not nearly as cool as just getting there ... no matter if it is a week or two past the year mark.

I had a good loss this week. My scale actually showed an extra pound lost from yesterday, but I think that was from the colonoscopy prep from yesterday so not going to count it.

You are rocking :) And if you're going to eat carbs... corn on the cob during corn season is the way to do it! I've allowed myself a dinner of two ears of corn once a year since surgery. There's nothing better than fresh, local, in season corn.

I haven't weighed since, um, last Thursday because insomnia-related depression. I might weigh tomorrow. I'm scared to which is a sign I need to. Sucks, doesn't it?
