RNY dumping or neuroendocrine cancer dumping

Hi all - I am about 12 yrs post RNY. What does dumping feel like for people this far post surgery?  Specifically, what specific foods/activities trigger it and what symptoms do you have? I am trying to differentiate between dumping from RNY and dumping from carcinoid syndrome. Thanks.

Hi back at ya! At the end of this year, I will be 10 years out with my RNY, and 4 years after my Chemo/Rads and in remission. I have dumping as a regular, often, side-effect. I, also don't know exactly what is responsible. I just chalk up some to eating sugar/starch, salt, fatty foods, spicy/strong flavored to the RNY, as this has been going on a long time. Any "surprises" I lay on the cancer treatments. (I call the dumping my "keeping me honest" dues.)

It's hard, but remember that you are NOT alone. There are lots of us sharing "tummy troubles " also.

But, you know, it is worth it when I see my SKINNY shadow! Best wishes and a 'puter hug' from me.
