Help Tyger is out of control....

Last night it was so nice outside that I decieded to go out to our building's backyard with Tyger....OH LORD! he started to make weird sounds soooo loud that my neighbor opened his door to check what was happening. Oh but that's nothing he(Tyger) jumpped on me and attacked me! what's wrong with him? I got scared, he had never done that and he is use to walk in a leach. Should I take him to the Vet right away?
