Topic: RE: Cruise January 2012??
Our agency has put together a WLS group cruise for Labor Day week. I'm pasting the info below. This one is out of Port Canaveral but our idea is to have them leave from different ports and different times of the year. If you aren't interested in the Sept cruise, we could open up a group for January as well. Where would you want to leave from?

We will also be having a meet and greet and several opportunities for some great sharing time!
If anyone is interested in going but would like to share a room, you can put down your deposit and add your name on a list for roommates.

I wanted to pass along that the agency I work for has put together a group cruise for WLS-ers over the Labor Day holiday this year. See the info below. A $50 deposit holds your space. There is a special booking incentive for anyone putting down their $50 deposit by May 5th.

Looks like all these posts are pretty old. I thought that I would throw out a thread about organizing a cruise for all of us who are not focused on the primary cruise activity- eating!
It would be terrific to have a group who want to do all the many offerings and not feel shy about only ordering an appetizer and 1/3 of a dessert.
I have been on 7 or 8 cruises and am well informed about the different lines. I last traveled on Princess, three weeks before my bypass in 2006, so this will be a new adventure for me too.
I hope to hear from any who may express interest in cruising the Caribbean in January 2012 for a week. Let's Bon Voyage together:-)

Looks like it's been a bit since this group has been active, come on you guys, when what your last cruise? When is your next?
My last was Jan2 to St Maarten & St Thomas via Orlando. Probably won't go on one this coming winter, but definately next winter.

There's a cruise, out of Baltimore, on Celebrity MERCURY, for 12 nights, leaving 11/30/09. My husband and I are going. Anyone else with WLS or planned WLS going? I had a lapband, 6/16/09, and this may be a challenge, but I'm so looking forward to it!

Hey Kevin. The cruise is January 24 of next year. If you want to go, I will give you the information on booking a cabin. It is much cheaper if you have someone to split the cost. The cruise is a little over $400.00 per person for an inside cabin, I believe. We are leaving out of New Orleans and going to Progresso and Cozumel, Mexico. It is gonna be so much fun. I have been on several and we always have a great time.

We've been twice in May and once in June. Both months were fabulous and there were very few bugs which may be a problem later in the summer. I'd go again in a minute!

Hi Ken! We went last year around the middle of August. We got lucky because we had sunshine the whole time. We went with Royal /Carribean, and I loved it!!!!! I recommend it to anyone! Have a great trip!

Yes I have done an Alaska cruise. I went the first week of June. We were celebrating our 25th anniversary that why we went that week. But if I chose a perfect week to go it would be mid July. When we went into Glacier Bay there were to many ice chuncks still floating and we could only get a mile or so into the bay. In the later summer the boat is able to get right in there. It was awesome though.

I did a very similar cruise like this during this past thanksgiving. I didn't do Roatan...but did all the rest of the destinations... It was wonderful. In Belize, I did cave tubing which was fun... Caymans were rather dull. Not much to do... did a basic tour..went to the turtle farms...and bummed around the shops... Costa Maya...we did a tour of the ruins...excellent!!!!! Let me know if you want details or photos...

Hi guys!! I'm scheduled to go on my 2nd cruise to Western Caribbean early next year -- and can't wait. We are going to Belize, Grand Cayman, Roatan, and Costa Maya.
Just wondering if anybody has been here and what excursions they recommend. We are going on Carnival Valor.

Anyone cruised on this ship? Hubby and I took a cruise with Carnival last October and had a blast. Now we are going for a 7 night cruise on Sept 23rd. Now that I am scuba certified we will be scuba diving this trip. Im so excited I can hardly wait.
