WOW! That is wonderfull Cytomomma! I too have been able to lower my Lantus from 140 to 40 since surgery . I still take Humalog when I am eating 20 carbs or more. Today I had the worst low I have ever had ! 56 I did not realize how little I ate, I was being very careful because there were foods I have not had yet. Anyway I was satisfied with my meal but over-shot my insulin. I am balanced again but and wiser. Congrats again on your A1C. Keep up the great work! Kahwren
I am diabetic also and my surgery is scheduled for 16 August!! I am sooooo hoping I can come off of my diabetic meds to include the Lantus. I only tae 40 units now, so hopefully i can stop all together soon after the surgery. I hope you continue to do well and i will be following your journey!! Good Luck and Congratulations!!!
