    My A1C is 5.9!!!!

My doctor e-mailed my new number.  He said he checked his records and it hasn't been this low since 2003.  I down over 35 pounds, too. The only med I'm still on is my Lantus and my dose has dropped from 95 (before surgery) to 20 units. I'm so happy!
    Rock on ctyomamma!!! Great job!
WOW! That is wonderfull Cytomomma! I too have been able to lower my Lantus from 140 to 40 since surgery . I still take Humalog when I am eating 20 carbs or more. Today I had the worst low I have ever had ! 56 I did not realize how little I ate, I was being very careful because there were foods I have not had yet. Anyway I was satisfied with my meal but over-shot my insulin. I am balanced again but and wiser. Congrats again on your A1C. Keep up the great work! Kahwren
Congrats!! It will hopefully only get even better as you lose more weight. I'm just over 2 years out, and my A1C as of June 9 was 4.6 - lowest ever!

WoW Cytomomma!!!  That is awesome!   I am diabetic also and my surgery is scheduled for 16 August!!  I am sooooo hoping I can come off of my diabetic meds to include the Lantus.  I only tae 40 units now, so hopefully i can stop all together soon after the surgery.  I hope you continue to do well and i will be following your journey!!  Good Luck and Congratulations!!!
Congrats to you all.... this is truly inspiring :)
