Japenese Chin Eats Anything on Floor

Help, my Chin has been eating all kinds of junk off the floor. He has a history of eating balloon, tinsil, toys etc. Now he goes around and licks the corners and the stairs. Any thoughts? We took him to the ER the other night around 11 because he was breathing weird and seemed to be in spurts of pain- an occasional yelp. They found nothing. Now he seems ok though. Thoughts? Kim M.

I wish I had some advice to offer, I live with my sister and her Min Pin does the same thing, eats/chews on anything that isn't nailed down, it is very frustrating...

hi kim how old is your chin?? i have always crate trained my dogs,and lets face it if its a pup they are babies you have to treat it like that..believe it or not puppy proof house my bambi is there what ever drops on floor zoom she zones in and trys to get it while she can (since my youngest is prone to drop things around house)
