whats a cake shake???
KaylaB. posted the recipe a while back and I am now addicted. Here's how I make them:
In a 16 oz or larger bowl or ramiken (I use a large mug, soup bowls, and other assorted bowls) mix:
1 scoop protein powder (chocolate works well, I am using choc-PB right now)
1 tsp vanilla
1/4 tsp baking powder
1 T dark cocoa
3T splenda (to taste)
1-3 T oil or butter. (I am now using 2 T melted butter)
Enough water to make a thin batter. Taste the batter. If it tastes good the cake will too. Nuke for no longer than 35 seconds.
You have to play with the recipe. The cup/bowl you use will make a difference. How much oil/butter or water you use will too. You can make this a cake texture or a moister molten cake texture. Top with your choice of low carb toppings: heavy cream, cool whip, reddy whip, butter,
You can also add to the batter: instant coffee/espresso, SF preserves, etc...
The way I make the cake is 26 protein and 7 carbs plus whatever I top it with.

I tried it for the first time last night and it tastes GREAT. I've got to play with the recipe and find the right balance because it was a bit too sweet for me. I have a really low tolerance for the taste of sweet (and salt for that matter, I'm just weird I guess lol) so I need to just figure out what please my taste buds. But over all it's amazing because it's as close to cake as I'll get for awhile.
