Post Date: 2/2/12 1:28 pm First of all. Deep breath! :)
My DS was my first major surgery as well (knee surgery as a teen, tooth removal), so it took some "guts" as it were to take that leap. For me, so far, I am so thrilled with the results, the daily living and food options, etc.
It is important to realize that there can be complications and that it is not always "easy", but I think it's also important to have a positive mental attitude going in. Keep your eye on the prize and when you have those moments of "what was I thinking", just know that it will very likely get better and those moment will come less often, and then one day you'll realize you hardly have them and that your health and your happiness is improving in leaps and bounds. It will happen. Hang in there!
