Coconut Palm Sugar

Saw this on Dr. Oz yesterday and wondered if anyone had experience with it.  I've not looked up nutrition facts, etc. yet.

 My DH is a diabetic, and the palm sugar acts on his bloodsugar just like the regular sugar. So as far as I can see it makes no difference. It has the carbs just like reg. sugar.

 Sorry but sugar is sugar.  If the chemical name ends in ose, it's sugar.
