Does anyone know of a bariatric surgeon anywhere from Dallas to Little Rock or Shreveport who will do follow-ups for DS done in Mexico?

Unless you have complications to deal with, your PCP can handle your labs from here on out.  I give a list of labs to my PCP to do with my annual physical (about 17 vials of blood).  They code it as preventative/general malabsorption and it's covered every year, with no copay.

Valarie,

Thank you so much for the information.  That is good to know that I can have it done along with my yearly physical.  You are such a wonderful person filled with great information.

You're very welcome.  I just 'oriented' my new PCP last week.  I had a list of labs to run and a documented explaining the DS (complete with pictures!), to make sure she doesn't lump me into the RNY bucket.

U may try dr. Stephen Hamn that did my DS 2.5 years ago. May be worth a shot. Just google him. He works out of Texas Presbyterian Plano- hope that helps,-Mike
