no, it is not lYing down. It is a time issue.

The carbs you eat during the day pass thru your digestive system over a period of 5-8 ish hours. The carbs you eat all day reach the end of the digestive tract about the end of the day or bedtime.

If you ate carbs all night long, you would start rooting by early morning.

I have noticed the same things for me when I lay down at night, but it's only for about 30 minutes. I think the gas is developing after dinner, and laying down puts the digestive system in a state of relaxation so things want to move. I'm also gas-free for the day after my morning business.
