Topic: RE: What Foods should I get for After my Revision Surgery.
SF ice pops, SF pudding, broth. This helped a lot for me. I also bought protein shakes...look at the ingredients though. I used ans still use EAS from Sam's club.

I definitely wouldn't have too much if one thing. Power aide zero is good to have to keep hydrated. Sugar free Popsicles were a godsend. Sugar free pudding an no sugar added applesauce. I would only get samples of protein. Cottage cheese. Different soups. It depends on the progression in diet your dr has. Just remember the 30-60-90 rule. It's great to get about that in protein but don't get down on yourself if you can't.

Ground beef or some reason sits heavy inside. I stick with chicken (any kind) , pork, sandwich meats. Cheese..love cheese!

Topic: RE: Now I remember why I stopped taking my vits!!!

Hi Diana!  Nice to hear from ya!    Sorry you are having tummy pain.  That's no fun.

As Val and Chris mentioned I guess you're just going to have to experiment, one pill at a time.  I've found you really have to read the bottle labels.  A lot of Vitamin Shoppe supplements contain rice flour, of which I'm suspicious. And then there's the "itols."   If it is zinc, as Gina mentioned, I can remember that Vitalady commented that some folks use zinc lozenges.  And Zinc picolonate is suppose to be well absorbed.  I use the Blue Bonnet brand.  Keep us posted of what you discover and how you're progressing  -Jenny  :o)

My insurance covered revision with no band problems but I did have serious GERD and the surgeon had to call the insurance company and fight for me. He told them I was never a candidate for the band. My BMI is 56. I have BCBSNC. I had to fight for two months to get this surgery approved. My surgery date is April 17th.

BCBS companies may cover depending on your policy.

Topic: RE: This Ozone Jr. is AMAZING it gets rid of all smells FAST!!!

While on vacation a few years ago, we had a problem with smoke odor from the previous person in the room.  The staff brought an ozone machine and it cleared the odor really fast.  Sorry that I don't remember the brand name.

Topic: What Foods should I get for After my Revision Surgery.

10 Days and counting.  I am scared to death.  LOL.  But happy, just more afraid of the pain and of complications but have prepared myself for such should they occur.

Advice please:  What foods should I have at home for the first month or so?  Remember this is a revision so I will be extra fragile.

I hope you have a very boring surgery with no pain and just sail through and come home and have a boring recovery.   Good luck tomorrow morning.  I am excited for you.

Congratulations on your surgery date.  I know you are totally excited and maybe a little scared.   I know because my date is in 10 days and those are my feelings.

I had bowel issues before my DS.  It's not all the DS, but some of the foods that I can't eat now are broccoli, onions (common), wheat (gluten), SF stuff, SA, there are probably more.  Some you discover after eating.

Topic: RE: ***Monday Bites, Vites & Exercites***

Good evening,

B: protein shake 2 strawberries

S: nuts

L: spagetti squach and hamburger with cheese all mixed together

S: protein bar Atkins

D: tenderloin and broccoli with cheese

S: protein shake

Did have a feed of chips and dip with diet pepsi while playing scrabble with hubby. It is my Friday today for me and I am off for the next two days, I work shift work. (for now)

I very soon want to get started at losing some weight I have been eating better in the last 6 months then I have in 7 years with this surgery, because of this site. I think my meds have a lot to do with why I sit at this weight, or why it is so hard to lose,  but I would like to try to continue with eating like this and getting back into exercising, to see if I can make a change weight wise.

Good to know, we are going to Disney in July and making dinning reservations at buffet's so there is something for all of us.

All are fair game, but some are easier to eat than others.
