I am a mom with three kidos, I am an EMT, and have a goal of losing about 125 lbs. I like a million things and like to meet new people. I'd like to find a pen~pal to write emails to as well as snail mail to send encouragement and letters etc through the mail. I live in NC, but I have lived all over the country. It doesn't matter to me where my pen~pal lives/ male or female Looking forward to hearing from you...  |

 | Post Date: 2/18/12 12:42 am hello there! I am very new to this site, as well as the idea of mtg friends this way. I recently had surgery (sleeve on 2/7/12) and am fascinated to know how others are doing on their journey. my friends & family have been very supportive but I really think those of us who have gone thru similar experiences share a special bond. I originally had the surgery to address some other health problems, but now find myself really hopeful that I might actually lose weight and gain a whole life again. although I work full time and have a wonderful social network, I find myself feeling isolated, emotionally. I look forward to getting to know ou & support you along the way. ~marz |

 South Bend, IN Revision (04/03/12) Member Since: 08/24/02[Latest Posts] | Post Date: 2/27/12 8:58 pm Hi :) I live in Indiana, and am getting ready to find out my surgery date for a revision. My first surgery in 2003 did not heal right, and took this long for them to figure it out. I have always wanted a pal on here, or just friends, to be able to chat with. I also just recently started a group on facebook for bariatric patients, along with the admin of the support group i go affiliated with the Hospital I am having my surgery at. So if that would interest you, feel free to ask me about it. I have a lot of knowledge to share, and always love to learn new things. I have a 14 year old daughter, who was 6 when I had my surgery the first time. I hope to chat with you soon. I will send you a friendship add as well :) |
