You guys describe speciality shoe stores to be fit for a running shoe.  May I ask what a store may be called?  I live near Seattle so I am sure there has to be one somewhere but I do not even have a clue where to begin to look.  What would I look up in the yellow pages? Thanks. Jackie

I would suggest doing  a search on "Running shoes in Seattle".  Here is Wilmington we have a excellent store called "the Running Company".  It is run by three guys who are experienced runners and have collaborated with podiatrists to get them expert knowledge.  They treat each customer as their prize, and thrive on return customers.  Prices are about the same as going to a retail store, but these people really know their stuff.  You have a store called the "Seattle Running Company".  I would bet it is similar.  Also you can always ask for advice at your local gym.   Rob

http://www.seattlerunningcompany.com/home.html I'd say that any place that video tapes your feet on a treadmill while you run is a great place to start.  Says its on Pine St. ? Good luck
Scott
