Exercise and supplimenting?

Just wondering if any one is adding any additional supplementing to the already long list we seem to already have?

Just wondering what if any people are using ie l-Glutamine, creatine hcl etc to help with muscle recovery.  I know some of these can be a bit counter productive for the scale due to some water retention that may happen, but muscle health and eliminating the muscle loss for me is starting to become a lot more important now that I down almost a 100 pounds and about 13lbs to my goal weight (almost 5 month post op).

Now that I am focusing more on muscle building I want to be able to maximize what I can do within our limitations after the rny surgery.

I supplement additional protein, Sodium and Magnesium.  I have done Glutamine in the past and will probably move back to it.  I would be careful of Creatine  when I started working out I researched and remember reading about it being hard on your kidneys, explaining why most muscleheads in the gym walk around with a gallon bottle of water, where-as runners and cyclists go though about 20-40ounces for the same period.

I do....I use products from It Works....check out the link to see what they have....I use the greens (have used them daily for almost 5 years) as well as Thermofit on days that I work out.

FYI...I'm 5 years out from RNY...hit my goal weight, but now in the process of losing the remaining baby weight I gained (9lbs to go).

First off...you can not have Fat turn into Muscle. You can lose fat and gain muscle that's it.
If you want a good pre-workout supplement Buy VPX's NO Shotgun. This product has everything you need to start building lean quality muscle mass plus it will give you the energy & fat loss components you have lost by dropping your Hydroxycut. Do not buy it at GNC. Buy it online at Bodybuilding.com You will get far better pricing.

You also need a post workout Whey Protein supplement as well. I know you say you don't want one but in order to attain muscle hypertrophy(building) the body needs protein supplementation in order to rebuild the broken down fibers from the workout. If you do not rebuild with protein then you will have a hard time building lean muscle mass.
