Just curious if anyone has done the 30 day shred workouts? I just bought the dvd tonight and hope to start tomorrow. Just curious if anyone had done it and how well it worked. Also if you did it, did you do it everyday and did you do extra cardio?

I have done it and it is an effective workout and short so if you are pressed for time. I can not confirm the results because I mixed it up with several other fitness programs I am doing. It does make you a bit stiff the first couple of times and depending on how fit you are now I would skip level 1 because it's a little too easy.

My sister lost all her baby weight (about 20 pounds) in 6 months doing just the shred every other day plus about 30k in biking a week....

Thanks! I did Level 1 day 1 today and I really thought I was somewhat in shape until trying some of the exercises! I may look at Level 2 later to see if I would rather progress to it. All of the exercises done were exercises I have done in the past. I also walked a mile today afterwards.

Were your results better since you added other programs? I have read a few reviews that say they added other cardio in but none with added strength. I do love the time frame though!

I will know the results (or I should) by the 26th. I started the new program on the 15th so I wanted to give it 10 days or so before I jump on the scale again....

I was eating too many calories so the deficit was not there even with a lot of fitness I wasn't loosing weight... I had to decrease my calories to 1200/day and increased my resistance training to a power circuit (similar to the shred but a little more complex movements) and more weight.

I wish I had the will power to stay off the scale that long! I weigh everyday and track it.

I am still early out so my calories are no where near 1200 yet. It seems crazy to know that soon enough I will be back to that. I hope you have good results!!

In the first year after I started loosing weight and then post surgery I was on the scale constantly. Keep in mind when you have a lot of weight to loose, it almost comes off easy! I recall being 250 pounds and I would loose 10-15 pounds a month just by keeping to my diet and a little bit of fitness.... I could burn 400 calories in an hour because my heart rate would be screaming trying to move so much body mass around.

As you get closer to you're goal, you're body tries its best to hold on to that fat and you have to increase you're fitness and maintain you're diet... With me that part is harder because I'm physically capable of eating way more food than I thought was once possible, so it's down to pure willpower now - a lot harder than with the aid of my tiny post surgery belly...

Sounds like you are doing great and will be at you're goal in no time! If you hit a plateau change the fitness  side of things.

Thank you! My weight loss slowed down a lot last month. The biggest loss I had was 17 pounds. Right now I am happy if I hit 8 pounds gone!

I am really hoping the 30DS helps switch things up for me and I am also doing extra cardio as well. I make sure I swap the intensity and time up on that cardio as well. Like one day I will walk for 20 minutes. While the next day I will do walk/jog intervals for about an hour. Or at least 20 minutes of jogging.

The only thing that makes me nervous about the shred is gaining weight. I know it is water retention but I still hate seeing it. I was up on the scale this morning but I was also sore. I am wondering if I need to up my calories. My net for yesterday was only like 300 calories when counting the exercise. I don't want to eat back too much of those calories since it is not exact on how many burned!

I've not done it, but would appreciate feedback on how you are doing and after doing it for awhile whether or not you would purchase it again (had you not already done so) or whether you wish you had never purchased it.

I will be sure to let you know when I get farther out! So far today, I did enjoy the workout. I figured it's not bad for the $9 I paid!
