Half Marathon Update

I had some people wish me luck on my first Half Marathon race so I thought I would update those that care about an internet stranger's accomplishments.  The race was Saturday and in true New Mexico fasion it went from being sunny and calm to freezing with crazy wind and some rain.  Not to mention the first half of the race was mostly straight up a hill and straight into the wind.  I've also been dealing with some ITBS in my hip from going a little too hard in training (hard to make your brain except that running easier is actually better for you).  Almost dropped out of the race because I didn't want any setbacks in training for the real goal which is the full marathon in March.  Long story long, I went out, crushed the race, beat my goal by 11 minutes, finished in 1:59, and smiled all the way home.

Fantastic!  I know how hard it is to do a 1/2 - congratulations!

Ask me how I got rid of my keloid scar!
