Happy February! Happy Mardi Gras! (Laissez Bon Temps Roullez!) As someone who also does church singing, busy week for me.

Monday - fencing 2.5 hours

Tuesday - personal trainer 1 hour and 2 hour rehearsal

Wednesday - 1.5 hour mass and 2 hours fencing

Thursday - Yoga

Friday - Pilates and weights

Saturday - Pilates and weights

Sunday - Rest/sing 1.5 hour service

The hard part for me will be doing Shrove Tuesday without eating pancakes. For those participating, may your Lent be a meaningful journey as Ash Wednesday is upon us this week.

Keep on losing!

This is slightly unrelated, but yay for church singing! I'm the choirmaster at an Anglican cathedral, so yeah - busy week for me, too! Your work out routine sounds great. Fencing - fun!

SA79 - I sing at an Episcopal church in Philadelphia which is in the Anglo-Catholic tradition - we sing High Mass every Sunday and Feast day. Evensong once a month. I count my singing rehearsal time as "yoga" because my Apple Watch does not have a way to count calories expended standing for 2.5 hours, regulating breath and trying not to lock my knees! Where are you? (May your Lenten journey be one of discovery and renewal.)

I'm in Québec City! That's fantastic, and singing is definitely on par with yoga! I'm a trained classical singer myself (opera was my first career before the constant travel made me switch into something more stable!) and it's a lot of work! I hope your own Lenten journey is the same! :)

So sorry about the anniversary of your Dad's death. My Dad meant the world to me as well - we lost him on January 28 10 years ago - still hurts. May you find peace in the memories.

thank you so much. I wish I could tell you it gets easier the longer it is but I do not find that is true. I just find some years or a little easier than others and this year it seem real hard. sorry about your loss of your Dad
