I may not be Oprah, but I am reading an excellent book that I think WLS folks can really benefit from. An Accidental Athlete
is one man's story at midlife on how he changed his life to be an active person, regain control of his life, and get to a healthy weight. In this book, John Bingham shares so many person stories of his life that I found being quite similar to my personal story. He talks about what it takes to change your life and be that new person.
He is a runner, but the story is beyond running. As a cyclist, I really identify with his struggles. What makes John's story interesting is that he freely admits he is bad at running and he never will be a great runner. He refers to himself as a glacially slow rinner. LOL He has come to the realization that you don't need to be the person who wins the races to be the person who loves the sport. You can be the person who comes in last.
I think you will enjoy this book if you have been the underdog most of your life and need that kick in the seat of your pants to get moving and be active.
