Wow...Im extremely excited for two reasons...
1. Got approved on Monday for my surgery...april 29th!!!
2. Found a GLBT board!!!
It's so nice to find a place where people fully understand
where you are with your life.
My partner Mechele and I live near Cleveland, OH and have
been together for about a year and a half almost.
I am about 372lbs. and was approved for the Open Rny
There is so much good in mylife in this past year it is amazing.
Just wanted to post and say hello to everyone!
Welcome to the GLBT board! glad you found it!!
Congrats on your surgery date, the 29th will be here before you know it! You've done such a great job with WW so far, I am sure it will help you continue to do great with the open RNY. I had open RNY back in Feb. and it wasn't nearly as bad or painful as I thought it might be!
Good luck and I wish you and your partner the best!!
I appreciate the kind words..We are flying high right now..also feeling the whole scared, nervous, axious, excited, feelings as well!
Soooo..it will be an interesting april!!
Hi Denise - I love your picture!!! You look like such a happy person.
Welcome to the GLBT board - I'm also very glad to have found it. Best of luck to you and Mechele - My partner Sherry and I have been together for almost 13 years. Isn't love just grand!!!
Welcome to the board...I'm sure you'll find yourself quite at home. You seem like such a nice person, and I LOVE your pic...work that smile!
My partner and I just celebrated a year together March 9, and she asked me to marry her on Valentine's Day this year.
Congratulations on all the lovely things going on in your life...nothin' but the best from now on out!
Good to meet you!
I am also a poster in the April surgical board, lots of good discussion about the impending life change you are about to experience.
Great blessings are abounding in your life! It is so awesome to read how appreciative you are of them! I feel the same way.
Best of luck to you,
Lap RNY 4/1/04
400/352/Goal of 260
Hi there! Glad you found it and are on your way. I am almost 4 weeks out of lap RNY. Remember...walk after surgery, deep breathe, take lip balm, and drink your water when you can....oh, and have a great time! By your picture...your positive attitude should take you far! Good luck and God bless. Anna
I am two and a half years out, and I am loving life even more that I thought I could. I started at 314, and am now steady between 150-155. It continues to amaze me that I am this small. I had no life before surgery. I focused on work. Now I have such a full life! I even met my girlfriend through obesityhelp.com, and feel blessed that I have a partner that I can share everything with.
You both are going to embark on a fabulous journey. There will be trials and tribulations, but mostly there will be a greater love of life, and you will be able to live life free from the constraints of obesity. I am so proud that you have taken this step towards freeing yourself. It took a lot of guts, and you should be proud of yourself!
If you have any questions or fears, please feel free to email me directly at email@example.com. Until your surgery on the 29th...CONGRATULATIONS!!! I cant wait to see you on the other side!
All my best,
